Weird PA: Explore the burning ghost town of Centralia, Knoebels and Camping
Travel to Centralia PA and explore a ghost town with an underground mine fire that has been continuously burning underneath the town since 1962. Walk down a now abandoned section of Route 61 where the highway buckled from the heat of the ... Read morefire and smoke eerily ascends from beneath the ground. Explore the town's cemetary where more smoke creeps up from the tombstones. See creepy ashy gray forests and remnants here and there of a once thriving neighborhood. (9 residents left as of 2007) We can also see the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church which looms mysteriously atop a hill in town.
Just a few of the many curiosities to be seen in the area are The Pioneer Coal Mine Tunnel & Anthracite Museum, Whistler's Mother Statue overlooking the town of Ashland, and an Alpaca Farm.
We can camp at Knoebels campground (alcohol allowed at site) that is walking distance to the best free admission amusement park ever (pay per ride or purchase ride plans) and the best park food winner for 11 years in a row.

Beach & Camping
Spring is here and Summer will be banging on the door before you know it.

I just looked at Cape Henlopen, my favorite beach camping, in DE. Memorial day is already sold out.

I would like to plan to go camping one of the first couple ... Read more of weekends in June.

There's a good laser tag arena in Bensalem called Ultrazone. I know it's a bit far out from Center City, but it's supposedly one of the top arenas in the country. Shooting Range
I'm not a violent person, but I feel that after so many hours watching characters, good and bad, shooting it up, I want to see what it's actually like.
I'd prefer an outdoor rifle range, but would be interested in one of ... Read morethose indoor "qualify for the FBI" ranges as well.

Camping on Horseback
I have been asked to look into overnight horse backing riding for this group only. This would be 5+ hours of riding into the woods.. then set up camp stay the night listing to the coyotes sing.
