Seneca Shadows Campground overlooks Seneca Rocks, an unusual rock formation and part of the Appalachian Mountain Range. The campground and rock face are in the Monongahela National Forest System. Spruce Knob Recreation area is nearby, with the tallest point in West Virginia.

A feature of our trip will be the Via Ferrata in Nelson Rocks Preserve. More info available on the event page.

There are plenty of other things to do in the area as well, not the least of which is hiking. There are nearly 70 miles of trails in the Seneca Rocks/Spruce Knob Recreation Area. (Backpacking trip is here..)

Camping:
The campsites at Seneca Shadows are small. Our sites can hold a maximum of 5 tents and 10 cars. These are not drive up sites but you can unload nearby. There is an additional charge for more cars and they must be parked further away. We'll carpool! Tents must fit on designated tent pads. Due to the tent limit and based on our cost, we are expecting to fit 3 people per tent. The campground has HOT showers and flush toilet facilities. :)

Cost & Payment:
$20 includes three nights in the campground, as well as ice (for the coolers) & firewood (for s'mores, of course) for the weekend.
