TO HELL WITH CUPID! Let’s drink!
So I walked into a store on December 26 and already all the Christmas decorations were gone and the Valentine’s day candy was in place. Seriously? WTF?
I’m all about the dancin’, Romancin’, sweet talkin’, lovin’ that goes along with the idea of Valentine’s Day but to hell with all this commercialism that jams it down our throats.
The stores make the couples feel like they must go out and spend, spend, spend in order to show your love and those that don’t take part in the red and pink colored spending spree feel like they aren’t living up to the expectations. And those that are single are put down because they are reminded that they have no one special to share in the moment.
I say let’s celebrate being single!
Let’s celebrate being able to live with nothing but Ketchup, Mustard and Beer in our fridges.
Let’s celebrate being able to go away for the weekend on a whim.
Let’s celebrate being able to walk around our apartments naked if we want.
Let’s celebrate being able to leave our cloths on the floor where we left them when we came home from the bar.
Let’s celebrate the fact that we can go where we want, when we want, how we want, and (most importantly) with whomever we want.
Cheers to being single!
Here’s the Deal:
Fox and Hound loves our group and they are giving us a $20 open bar for 2 hours (9 to 11) that includes all domestic draft beers, well drinks and house wine.
The normal Saturday specials are also in effect for anyone not interested in an open bar package. They have buckets of Miller Lite – 5 for $16, $3 Miller Lite Drafts and $4 Sam Adams 22oz biggie drafts.
There’s going to be a DJ spinnin’ fun tunes all night along with a big dance floor.
Free Appetizers will be provided during the 2 hours.
Dress: CASUAL! Yes, this is NOT an event to hook singles up, so don’t dress to impress. Wear any normal Saturday night outfit. This is an event to celebrate being single and all the careless casualness that comes along with it. We are NOT going to do icebreakers. We are NOT going to do a lock and key party.
Just have fun! (and if you happen to meet someone there…great for you!)
